Types of Emergencies We See

19 Toothache

Tooth Pain

If you are experiencing a toothache or have visible signs of an abscessed tooth, we will need to treat it as quickly as possible.

If your emergency is preventing you from normal activities like eating or going to work, call our office.

Chipped Teeth,

Knocked-Out Tooth

Fractured teeth should be treated as soon as possible. In the best-case scenario, you'll want to see our emergency dentist within the first hour or two. If your tooth is completely knocked out, you can attempt to put it back into the socket (but don't force it.) Make sure to keep any tooth fragments in milk or saline and bring them straight to our office.

Broken Filling or Crown

A loose crown, bridge, or broken filling can expose your teeth to further damage. Do not chew on that side of your mouth, even if it doesn't hurt. Bring your restoration with you to the appointment.

Swelling

Sometimes, food can get lodged under the gums, causing inflammation. Periodontal infections or abscesses may also be to blame. For severe facial swelling, visit the nearest hospital emergency room.

Bleeding

Traumatic injuries can cause serious bleeding and may require immediate attention. Use firm pressure and if the bleeding is severe or doesn't stop, go to a hospital.
